In a dramatic and pivotal expansion of our services, Olmoti's new Health Center, a major construction project, will allow more than 4,000 Maasai access to surgeries and specialized care. This project is Olmoti Clinic's largest project to date, made possible by the groundwork we have laid in bringing water to the community, as well as its first ever clinic, primary school and staff housing.
A Health Center is a specific designation in the Tanzanian medical system that includes operating units and surgical wards for advanced medical care. We were fortunate to receive more than $150,000 worth of equipment and supplies to fully equip the new facility, thanks to the efforts of our good friends Laura Luxemburg at Ssubi and Colleen Murphy at Sharp Hospitals in San Diego
